Playgroups
Chico Mothers' Club has playgroups that are organized into small groups of about 9 moms and kids similar in age. There are special playgroups that don't conform to this model such as the Open Playgroup; Activities Playgroup; and Sibling playgroups.
Below you'll find descriptions of all the playgroups available.
Open Park Playgroup - This is a playgroup that meets at the park periodically.
The playgroup availabilities may change without notice, please contact the Playgroup Coordinator for up-to-date information. playgroup_coordinator@chicomothersclub.org
Once you are placed in a playgroup, the playgroup leader for that group will coordinate the events and meeting locations.
Playgroup By-Laws
These rules are meant to be guidelines only. Each playgroup should talk about them and tailor them to fit their individual group.
1. Be committed. In order to have a successful playgroup, each member must be committed to it. Regular attendance is essential for there to be a group.
2. Call host if you are unable to attend.
3. Keep your child home if they’re sick. (First sign of a cold and until they are free of fever, bad cough, or other symptoms of illness for at least 24 hrs.)
4. Agree to abide by host’s “house rules”. Ex: No standing on furniture, food & drinks in the kitchen only, off limit areas.
5. Supervise you own child! Step in if he/she is hurting another child! (You may be asked to stop attending playgroup if there is an ongoing problem.)
6. When bringing snacks for your child, choose less messy items or have your child sit at the table to eat.
7. Help clean up the host’s home before you leave.
